Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed
Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
The Level Two Chimney Clifton Guarantee
We back every chimney cleaning, repair, and rebuild with a written promise that’s been the same since 2009: a documented price before work starts, a documented record when it’s done, and a full year to hold us to it. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise is stamped on every job we complete in Clifton. If the work isn’t done right, we make it right. No fine print about “normal wear” or “customer misuse.” No phone tree. You call, we return, we fix it. That’s the entire guarantee, and it’s been working for more than 38,000 chimney inspections and cleanings across northern New Jersey.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every service. If a sweep, repair, cap installation, or liner job we completed fails within 365 days due to our workmanship, we repair or redo it at no charge.
- Parts we install. Materials come from DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield, procured through the Haven buying network. If a part we supplied fails during the guarantee period, we handle the replacement.
- Cleanup and condition of your home. We leave the hearth, floors, and surrounding area as clean as we found them. If we missed something, tell us and we’ll send a crew back.
- On-time arrival, confirmed by text. A named technician is assigned to your job, and you get a text when they’re on the way. If we don’t arrive on schedule, Clause 3 of the Haven Standard says we owe you an honest explanation, not an excuse.
- Honest pricing in writing. The price we quote before work begins is the price you pay. If we discover something mid-job that changes the scope, we stop and show you the camera evidence before we spend another dollar of your money.
Our Satisfaction Promise

If something about our work doesn’t sit right, you don’t have to build a case. You call (551) 282-9640 and tell us what you’re seeing. We schedule the return visit, we put eyes on it, and we make a decision based on what the camera shows, not on what’s convenient. If it’s our workmanship, we fix it under the 365-Day Done Right Promise, full stop. If it turns out the issue is something else entirely, like a flue liner that was already compromised before we arrived, you’ll see exactly what we saw. Every visit includes a documented photo record under Clause 4 of the Haven Standard, so there’s never a dispute about what the chimney looked like when we left. That record is yours to keep. Corrine Halstead, Owner, has run the business this way since day one: state what the camera found, state what it costs to fix, and let the evidence lead.
Before
AfterLicensed & Insured Backing
A written guarantee is only as strong as the company standing behind it, and that’s where licensing and insurance come in. Level Two Chimney Clifton is a licensed and insured chimney service operation in New Jersey. That means our work is performed by background-checked, uniformed technicians who carry credentials you can verify, and our insurance protects your property while we’re on it. The license isn’t a piece of paper we wave around; it’s the reason you can hold us accountable if something goes wrong. Combined with the Haven Standard’s written-price and written-warranty requirements, it means you’re never relying on a handshake alone.
What the written record includes

Every job ends the same way: you receive documentation of exactly what was done and what it cost. That includes the written scope of work you approved before we started, the written warranty for the completed job, and the photo record from our camera inspection. For chimney cleaning, you’ll see the flue before and after, including any creosote accumulation and its classification. For repairs, you’ll see the damaged area, the repair in progress, and the finished work. If you ever decide to sell your Clifton home, that documentation is transferable proof of chimney maintenance, and buyers’ inspectors respond well to it.

What’s not covered, in plain terms
We’re specific about this because vague guarantees are worthless. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers our workmanship and the parts we installed. It does not cover pre-existing conditions we documented and disclosed to you before work began. If your flue liner was already spalling, meaning the clay tile surface was flaking and crumbling, that’s a condition we’ll show you on camera and quote separately. The guarantee also doesn’t cover damage from events outside a chimney contractor’s control: a tree limb through the crown, a chimney fire started by burning unseasoned wood, or normal wear that occurs after the guarantee period ends. And to be direct: if a repair can safely wait, we’ll tell you that, too. We don’t manufacture urgency.
Why the Haven Standard matters in Clifton

Level Two Chimney Clifton is independently owned and operated under the Haven Standard, which governs how we quote, document, and honor our work across every job. That standard has four clauses worth knowing: written price and scope before work starts, named and background-checked technicians who arrive on schedule, documented photo records on every visit, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise. It’s not a marketing slogan. It’s the operating manual for how this company has handled more than 38,000 inspections and cleanings since 2009. Clifton’s older housing stock, with its mix of masonry chimneys from the 1920s through the 1960s, demands a contractor who documents what they find because older flues hide more surprises. The Standard is how we keep ourselves honest, and it’s how you know what you’re paying for before you pay it.
Questions homeowners ask about our guarantee
What happens if I’m not satisfied with the cleaning?
Call us at (551) 282-9640. We’ll send a technician back to re-inspect the flue with the camera and compare it against the photo record from your original visit. If we missed something in the sweep, we re-clean at no charge under the 365-Day Done Right Promise.
Do you stand behind liner repairs the same way?
Yes. Liner work we install carries the same 365-day workmanship guarantee. The materials themselves come from manufacturers like DuraFlex and HeatShield, and we handle warranty claims on parts we supplied.
Is the written price really guaranteed?
The price you approve before work begins is the price you pay. If the job scope changes because we find something unexpected, we stop, show you the camera footage, and get written approval for any additional work before proceeding. That’s Clause 1 of the Haven Standard.
What documentation do I walk away with?
A written scope of work, a written warranty for the completed job, and a photo record of the inspection, repair, or cleaning. Every time. It’s Clause 4 of the Haven Standard, and it’s been continuous since 2009.
Call (551) 282-9640 to schedule an inspection or to ask anything about how we guarantee our work. Someone answers, day or night.
